The engine follows strict mechanical development and validation standards. During development, it undergoes extensive testing, including severe thermal shock tests, high- and low-temperature tests, crankshaft fatigue tests, and more than ten additional validation procedures. Reliability development applies European technology together with comprehensive mechanical development processes, resulting in a major overhaul interval exceeding 12,000 hours. An integral crankcase, rear-mounted gear train, and patented point-line meshing gear technology further reduce noise levels compared with similar domestic products, ensuring quieter and more comfortable operation.

Fuel Efficient and Cost Saving

Yuchai’s advanced in-house electronic control technology enables flexible fuel quantity control and high injection pressure. This precise combustion control ensures smooth operation, lower combustion noise, and improved power performance. The engine delivers high torque at low speed, large torque reserves, fast response, and quick acceleration. Four-valve technology significantly increases intake and exhaust flow area, while the centrally positioned fuel injector improves atomization and combustion efficiency. In addition, valve stem seals and Yuchai’s proprietary piston ring sealing technology reduce lubricating oil consumption by more than 50% compared with domestic engines of the same power class.

Safe and Comfortable Operation

The engine is equipped with digital intelligent local and remote monitoring instruments for real-time operation supervision. An integrated cast iron freshwater-cooled exhaust manifold effectively lowers engine room temperature, enhancing operational safety and onboard comfort during long-term service.
