Strong Power and Fast Response

The Weichai 8WH25 1838–2680 kW marine engine delivers high output for medium- and large-scale vessels. Each cylinder reaches about 335 kW, and the engine runs at higher explosion pressure compared with similar products. An efficient pulse turbocharging system improves dynamic response, raises air delivery efficiency, and delivers stronger torque at low speed. At only 50 percent of rated speed, the engine can reach nearly 90 percent of rated torque, which improves maneuvering, acceleration, and overall working performance.

Energy Saving and Lower Emissions

A well-designed intake and exhaust system, together with pulse turbocharging, reduces fuel use and achieves a minimum consumption rate of around 180 g/kW·h. The piston uses a three-ring layout with a scraper ring to minimize oil consumption, reaching about 0.5 g/kW·h. The 8WH25 engine also meets IMO Tier II and China Stage II emission standards, allowing ships to operate cleaner without losing power.

Easy Maintenance and Simple Operation

A modular design of external parts improves service access, while the compact overall layout saves engine-room space. The integrated design with single-piece cylinder heads makes disassembly faster and reduces maintenance cost. In addition, a three-section connecting rod makes cylinder lifting easier, helping crews complete routine service more efficiently during daily operation.
