Strong Power with Wide Torque Range

The WP6 offers a torque reserve of 20%–35%, and its large torque range helps ships gain better acceleration and smoother response. Because of this setup, the engine performs well across many working conditions.

Fuel-Efficient and Cost-Effective

With a well-matched fuel pump, turbocharger, and intake–exhaust system, the WP6 keeps fuel use low during common operating conditions. Moreover, it uses a shallow-ω combustion chamber, along with optimized clearance and swirl ratio, allowing the fuel consumption rate to drop to 194 g/kW·h.

Smooth, Quiet, and Environmentally Friendly

Through NVH optimization, the WP6 effectively reduces noise and vibration for a more comfortable working environment. At the same time, the engine meets IMO Tier II and China Stage I emission rules, while its electronic-control models also meet China Stage II standards.

Practical and Suitable for Many Vessel Types

The WP6 supports optional LCD smart gauges that monitor engine speed, water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure in real time. When any value exceeds its limit, the system can trigger alarms and stop the engine automatically. Moreover, its stable performance makes it suitable for passenger ships, cargo vessels, government boats, fishing vessels, and sightseeing boats.
