The Weichai WP2.3N 40–95 kW marine engine is built on the new N-series platform with a redesigned block, cylinder head, pistons, and bearings. In addition, Weichai’s global supplier system ensures stable quality for all key components. The engine is also produced in a dust-free, constant-temperature workshop and tested on high-precision benches, which helps maintain long-term durability and steady marine operation.

Strong Power with Wide Torque Range

The WP2.3N delivers strong torque in the low and middle speed range, allowing continuous and smooth power output. Because the electronic-control unit provides precise injection and high injection pressure, the engine responds quickly during acceleration. At 50 percent of the rated speed, it can reach 134 percent of the rated torque, giving vessels reliable pulling power even under changing load conditions.

Fuel-Efficient with Lower Daily Cost

The engine uses an electronic high-pressure common-rail system that adjusts injection quantity with high precision. As a result, the economic working range becomes wider, helping save fuel during everyday operation. The minimum fuel consumption reaches 195 g/kW·h, and the oil change interval of 500 hours or more reduces maintenance time and cost.

Smooth, Quiet, and Environmentally Friendly

Through multiple electronic-control injections, the WP2.3N reduces vibration and noise significantly, achieving an idle noise level of 74 dB(A). The engine also uses a fully optimized NVH layout, including a gear-room cover, cylinder-head cover, and closed flywheel housing to reduce sound leakage. The strengthened block and offset piston pin design keep vibration levels lower than many similar models, while the engine meets China Stage II emission rules.

Practical Layout with Flexible Installation

The WP2.3N uses a horizontal filter arrangement to reduce engine height and create a more compact structure, making installation easier in tight engine rooms. Optional features such as the smart LCD gauge, seawater pump, and vibration-isolating mounts allow the engine to fit different vessel needs. Moreover, its flexible setup helps support a broad range of marine applications.
