The SDEC SC25K auxiliary engine series comes from a new and well-refined platform. It follows the full GPDP development process from SAIC Motor, and this ensures a high and stable quality level. The engine uses a high-strength block, an integrated forged crankshaft, and gear-profile connecting rods. Because of these upgrades, the engine handles long working hours with ease. Moreover, the entire unit completes more than 3000 hours of strict durability testing. As a result, the major overhaul interval goes beyond 20,000 hours, which helps operators reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Strong Power Output with Better Fuel Economy

The SC25K series delivers strong mid-to-high-speed torque to suit a wide range of working conditions. It uses a four-valve layout and a dual-turbo system, so the intake air becomes fuller and more efficient. In addition, the engine uses two types of electronic fuel systems: high-output models use an electronic high-pressure common-rail system, while lower-output models use an electronic unit pump. This approach gives the series a wide power range and a large torque reserve. Furthermore, the engine reaches a minimum fuel consumption rate of 185 g/kW·h, which helps ship owners lower daily fuel costs.
