Developed strictly under SAIC Motor’s GPDP process, the SC25K marine engine uses a high-strength engine block, a fully forged crankshaft, and high-strength toothed connecting rods. The entire engine completes a rigorous 3,000-hour durability test, and its major overhaul interval exceeds 20,000 hours. These features work together to provide stable, long-term performance in demanding marine operations.

Strong Power, High Efficiency, and Low Fuel Consumption

With a four-valve layout and a dual-turbocharging system, the engine maintains efficient and sufficient air intake across all working conditions. It uses a unique dual electronic control strategy: high-power versions apply an electronic high-pressure common-rail system, while low-power versions use an electronically controlled unit pump. This wide power coverage and strong torque reserve allow the engine to handle medium and heavy loads at medium-to-high speeds. It also adapts well to different vessel applications. The minimum fuel consumption reaches 185 g/kW·h, which helps reduce long-term operating costs.
