Reliable and Durable

During development, the YC6T follows strict mechanical validation standards and completes more than 20,000 hours of durability bench testing. The engine uses a high-strength alloy cast iron cylinder block to improve structural rigidity. An integral forged steel crankshaft increases fatigue strength and wear resistance. The single-cylinder single-head design simplifies maintenance, while evenly distributed cylinder head bolts ensure uniform load distribution. In addition, the valve train adopts a high-mounted camshaft layout with short, thick pushrods and roller lifters, delivering stable and highly reliable operation.

Fuel Efficient and Cost Saving

Four-valve technology greatly increases intake and exhaust flow area, allowing more uniform fuel atomization and more complete combustion. The combination of turbocharging, intercooling, and an electronically controlled unit pump enables precise fuel control and maximizes energy release from each injection. Holset or LiXin turbochargers provide a wide economic operating range. Mechanical losses drop by more than 15%, pumping losses decrease, and overall fuel consumption is reduced. Compared with engines of the same power class, fuel consumption is 10–15% lower.

Safe and Comfortable Operation

The four-valve configuration effectively reduces intake and exhaust noise. A rear-mounted gear train and advanced point-line meshing gear technology further lower mechanical transmission noise. As a result, the engine operates more smoothly and quietly, creating a safer and more comfortable engine room environment for continuous marine service.
